Smoking & Stress

Smoking and Stress

Stress is a problem. There are work related stresses, the stress of being a caregiver, a parent, anyone can all fall prey to extreme or chronic stress. A person’s stress response is appropriate if an immediate threat or danger confronts us, but more often stress is triggered by situations, real or imagined, that are far from life threatening. Human consciousness has developed to the extent that emotions, ideas, memories, and expectations can trigger stress even when nothing is actually happening in our immediate environment. Some people experience stress chronically, resulting in the near constant presence of stress hormones acting on the mind and body.

Living in frequent or chronic stress can leave a person feeling exhausted and weak, making them susceptible to disease or emotional difficulties. Excess stress also inhibits a person’s ability to act appropriately and effectively. Without the unique help we provide, it can be especially difficult for a person under stress to stop smoking. Many smokers have difficulty stopping until they are able to handle stress in more useful and appropriate ways. In our private and group sessions, in addition to ending the smoking addiction, we also empower a person to control the counter-productive stress responses that have been holding them back.

To quit smoking with greater ease and remain a non-smoker, you can expect results:

  • Controlling or eliminating excess or chronic stress
  • Removing internal and external stress producing blocks
  • Identifying and eliminating hidden assumptions that create unnecessary stress
  • Eliminating counterproductive, stress producing mental habits
  • Stopping negative, stress producing self-talk
  • Gaining greater control over your thoughts and feelings, reducing stress
  • Mastering your mindset and emotional state even in difficult situations
  • Refocusing after setbacks, keeping stress to a minimum
  • Developing consistent access to inner states of calm, confidence, and excellence
  • Relaxation and stress reduction techniques utilizing the power of self-hypnosis

To help our clients stop smoking forever, we give them greater control over their thoughts, emotions, and moods. In our private and group sessions, we offer lasting cures. We are outcome oriented, systematic, and we get measurable results.

When you’re ready to experience relief, contacting us can be the very first step to a richer, more satisfying life. We can confidentially explore your needs and desires, and if you should decide to succeed, we’ll guide you compassionately and skillfully into freedom from cigarettes. Each person we help is different, but all can experience an abundant life with a more satisfying balance, greater joy, and an enriched sense of well being. You can become a non-smoker now.
